Holy smokes! When I joined Nelnet and met Chris two short months after delivering my second daughter, I never thought it would lead to this!
Chris and I clicked immediately. We challenged each other. We supported one another both in our personal and professional lives. We really had fun together. Through our partnership, we created some totally awesome stuff! Chris and I launched Agile Camp: an internal 3-day conference for our organization. We created coaching programs and delivered lots of training. We found our rhythm as partners. We learned how we each worked, for example, I do not like running up against the clock and Chris is an 11th hour planning guy who does his best work at the last minute. Understanding this about one another we made and upheld our working agreements, which allowed us to be successful in most of the situations we faced. When it did not work, we were always open to feedback and adjusting how we approached things.
We have gone to conferences together, attended training courses and travelled together for work. There has always been a mutual respect and understanding for one another in all circumstances. This was usually met with the “what do you need right now?” or “how do I support you?”. Even after we went our separate ways in our professional lives this relationship has led us to this moment where we are launching our business, Rooted Values Coaching “RVC”.
RVC is a labor of love and passion. With our own individual values and our shared values, we are truly excited to bring our true selves to the world. Through our experiences and expertise, we will be offering Agile Training which includes Agile Coaching curriculum offering ICAgile’s Agile Coaching Certification (ICP-ACC), Agile consulting, Professional Coaching (Agile and Non-Agile), Facilitation, and Change Management guidance.
I am so excited to continue my individual journey with RVC, but more importantly my journey with my friend and partner, Chris.
